Sponsors provide the hardware, software, training, and support the teams need to integrate technologies into their competition vehicles. This arrangement gives students access to components and systems that might otherwise be unavailable or too expensive to use. Sponsors are able to promote their technologies and observe how they perform during rigorous and innovative use. Sponsors have the opportunity to meet, work with, and recruit hundreds of the nation's most motivated and talented engineering students. Sponsors also gain international media coverage and develop partnerships with government, industry, and academia. FutureTruck offers three levels of sponsorship; benefits vary by contribution:

• Major Sponsors are given the opportunity to develop and title sponsor an award or event, donate their products/services to all teams, exhibit at the Spring Sponsor Social, attend competition events, provide several judges at the competition, and announce the winner of their award or event at the awards ceremony.
• Competition Supporters are given the opportunity to donate their products/services to all teams, exhibit at the Spring Sponsor Social, attend competition events, provide a judge at the competition, and present an award at the awards ceremony.
• In-kind Supporters are given the opportunity to donate their products/services to all teams and attend competition events.
